  Henry Yoshimura, Director, Demand-Resource Strategy, ISO New England

Henry Yoshimura is the Director of Demand Resource Strategy for ISO New England. He is responsible for the development and deployment of demand response and energy efficiency initiatives for the New England wholesale electricity market. Mr. Yoshimura frequently leads stakeholder groups to develop the market rules enabling demand resources to participate in New England’s wholesale capacity market.

Mr. Yoshimura is an economics and public policy expert with more than 27 years of domestic and international experience in the electric power industry. Before joining ISO New England in 2002, he spent two years in Jakarta, Indonesia as a Government advisor on electricity sector regulation and restructuring.

Mr. Yoshimura is the former Director of the Electric Power Division for the Department of Public Utilities in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, he has held senior consultant positions with La Capra Associates, XENERGY/KEMA Consulting Inc., and the Institute of International Education.

Mr. Yoshimura holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Philosophy from the University of Montana. Additionally, he earned a Certificate in Advanced Management Development from the University of Massachusetts, Institute for Governmental Services.
