| Paul Wattles, Supervisor, Demand Response, Electric Reliability Council of Texas Paul Wattles is Supervisor of Demand Response in the Market Operations Support group at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), where he has worked since May 2004. The Demand Response group administers participation by demand-side resources in ERCOT’s wholesale markets, including participation by Loads Acting as a Resource (LaaRs) in the ERCOT Ancillary Services markets and Emergency Interruptible Load Service (EILS). Paul previously held the position of ERCOT manager of governmental relations and communications. He has over eight years of electric industry experience with an emphasis on advanced metering and demand response, plus over 15 years of private sector business experience and six years of service as a Congressional aide in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson. |
