Philip Warburg, President, Conservation Law Foundation and CLF Ventures
Philip Warburg is President of CLF & CLF Ventures. Philip became president of the Conservation Law Foundation in November 2003. A native New Englander, Philip returned home to lead CLF after spending much of the past decade working on multi-state solutions to environmental problems in the Middle East.
Philip joined the Israel Union for Environmental Defense (IUED) as deputy director in 1999 and became executive director in 2000. Under his leadership, the IUED engaged in citizen enforcement suits against polluters, legal actions against government agencies, and negotiation of new environmental standards. His work with government agencies within the Palestinian Authority from 1994-1997 led to the adoption of the Authority's first environmental legislation in 1999.
From 1989-1994, Philip worked for the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, DC. He has also worked for the State of Connecticut and U.S. Senator Charles Percy. Philip received his BA from Harvard College and his JD from Harvard Law School. Phil's admissions include: Commonwealth of Massachusetts and District of Columbia. |
