| John W. Ragan, Executive Vice President and Regional President, Northeast, NRG Energy, Inc. John Ragan was appointed, effective December 18, 2006, Executive Vice President and Regional President, Northeast for NRG Energy, Inc. Prior to joining NRG, Mr. Ragan was Vice President of Trading, Transmission, and Operations at FPL Energy and had previously served as Vice President of Business Management for FPL Energy’s Northeast Region. Ragan has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including serving as Senior VP and Chief Executive Officer of Mirant’s International Group where he led operations in five countries and managed a portfolio of generation and integrated utility assets. Prior to working internationally, he served in various domestic roles of increasing responsibility during his eight years at Mirant Corporation, including Senior Vice President for the company’s North American trading and power generation and gas portfolio. Ragan began his career with Getty Oil Company in the company’s oil and gas exploration and production division. |
